Stefanie has been a Project Manager with REI since December 2000. She has been involved with over 1,000 petroleum spill cleanups and investigations since that time, ranging in size from one to several thousands of gallons. Project types have included small residential maintenance-related releases to gasoline tanker explosions. Stefanie specializes in remediation of sites in Connecticut, New York, and Rhode Island. She took part on several subcommittees during Connecticut’s initial drive to revise their release reporting standards and remediation regulations in 2008. She has significant experience with water management and treatment techniques and structural supporting methodologies. Stefanie also is well versed in municipal and state permitting processes, especially those involving wetland resource areas and waterways.
Stefanie has served as a commissioner on the City of Worcester Conservation Commission from 2007 through February 2016 and held the position of Chairwoman from 2010 – 2016. Stefanie also served on the Lake Quinsigamond Commission since 2009 through 2015 and was Chairwoman from 2011 until February 2015. Stefanie maintains the required OSHA 40-Hour Training with annual updates. She has been a member of the National Fire Protection Association since 2009 and is an Associate Member of both the Environmental Professionals Organization of Connecticut (EPOC) and the Licensed Site Professional Association (LSPA) in Massachusetts.
